Gaga & "Honey B 's" Telephone Rings...

I can appreciate the creative stylings of Lady Gaga, I can also see she is a calculated and well thought "artist". Don't get me wrong I am a Lady Gaga fan but she is every gimmick, every type of Pop culture reference from 1980 to 2000 rolled into one. She is unique because she is imitation multiplied and fragmented ( she takes a little bit from everyone). She also is not afraid to "go there". All of the rumors, scan-tally clad costuming, make up and even the catchy 123 pop hooks of past decades are rolled into Gaga's image. She is like a walking entertainment news archive for decades past. Regardless she is refreshing in the sense she refuses to conform to copying any one type of artistry or artist gimmick. She is a melange of gimmicks which is a guaranteed success. Lady Gaga's success continues to grow... So of course....Enter Beyonce Knowles.

Beyonce has a habit of latching on to the next hot new thing which of course makes business sense. Her remix video for "VideoPhone" features Lady Gaga. It is obvious Beyonce much like her video with Shakira, has taken on the stylings of her musical counterpart, in the video. Sometimes Beyonce can be so transparent.Anyway the video for " Telephone" as shown below is 9 mins long and captures an all to eager Beyonce jumping on the lady Gaga gravy train.

The funniest thing about this video is the actual song has nothing to do with the video concept. According to http://www.metrolyrics.com lyrics are:

[Lady Gaga]
Hello, hello, baby
You called, I can't hear a thing.
I have got no service
in the club, you say, say
Wha-Wha-What did you say, huh?
You're breaking up on me
Sorry, I cannot hear you,
I'm kinda busy.

K-kinda busy
K-kinda busy
Sorry, I cannot hear you, I'm kinda busy.

Just a second,
It's my favorite song they're gonna play
And I cannot text you with
A drink in my hand, eh?
You shoulda made some plans with me,
You knew that I was free.
And now you won't stop calling me;
I'm kinda busy.

Stop callin', stop callin',
I don't wanna think anymore!
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor.
Stop callin'', stop callin,
I don't wanna talk anymore!
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor.

Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me!
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
I'm busy!
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me!
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh

Can call all you want,
but there's no one home,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!
Cuz I'm out in the club,
and I'm sippin that bubb,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!

Call when you want,
but there's no one home,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!
Out in the club,
and I'm sippin' that bubb,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!

[Beyonce]
Boy, the way you blowin' up my phone
won't make me leave no faster.
Put my coat on faster,
leave my girls no faster.
I shoulda left my phone at home,
cuz this is a disaster!
Callin' like a collector -
sorry, I cannot answer!

Not that I don't like you,
I'm just at a party.
And I am sick and tired
of my phone r-ringing.
Sometimes I feel like
I live in Grand Central Station.
Tonight I'm not takin no calls,
cause I'll be dancin.

Cause I'll be dancin
Cause I'll be dancin
Tonight I'm not takin no calls, cause I'll be dancin!

Stop callin', stop callin',
I don't wanna think anymore!
I got my head and my heart on the dance floor.
Stop callin', stop callin',
I don't wanna talk anymore!
I got my head and my heart on the dance floor.

Stop callin', stop callin',
I don't wanna think anymore!
I got my head and my heart on the dance floor.
Stop callin', stop callin',
I don't wanna talk anymore!
I got my head and my heart on the dance floor.

Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
I'm busy!
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me!
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh

Can call all you want,
but there's no one home,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!
Cuz I'm out in the club,
and I'm sippin' that bubb,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!

Call when you want,
but there's no one home,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!
Cuz I'm out in the club,
and I'm sippin' that bubb,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!

My telephone!
M-m-my telephone!
Cuz I'm out in the club,
and I'm sippin' that bubb,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!

My telephone!
M-m-my telephone!
Cuz I'm out in the club,
and I'm sippin that bubb,
and you're not gonna reach my telephone!

We're sorry the number you have reached is not in service at this time.
Please check the number, or try your call again.

In the case of the video "Baby" becomes Beyonce, the club is a jail and there is no "bubb" as 50 cent coined it back in the day.

I am surprised Beyonce's family and husband would allow her to be in a video that was this crass and promoted bisexuality. I wondered if they had seen Beyonce take a bite of a pastry and offer it to Gaga who suggestively bit out of it while gazing into Beyonce'e eyes. There is nothing wrong with sexual preference I just never thought Beyonce would take her image there but then again she may be under investigation for racketeering and the Gaga gravy train or in the case of this video, the "Pussy Wagon" does pay.

This video / advertisement for Virgin Mobile, Diet Coke, Plenty of Fish and Beyonce was interesting. I can foresee a season of girls wearing different colored shoes, heavy eye make up, studded jackets and latex dresses while making out with each other, in the near future. I won't even get into the fact there seems to be a lot of poisoning men to death themes in Gaga videos. Tyrese looked great but thanks to Gaga's recipe for poison (which she posts in the video) his character dies infront of a very Gaga like Beyonce...Oddness.

This video was very Madonna, Cher, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Gwen Stephanie, Guns n'Roses, Wonder woman, Grease, Janet Jackson,George Michael, Boy George, B-52 -ish of Gaga...

4 real.

Take a look.

Cyprus President's Stolen Body Found...

Cyprus President's Stolen Body Found...

I am not into politics or better yet, I don't talk a lot about politics. There is something about watching institutionalized corruption on a large scale that I can't stomach so you won't find me blogging about Obama or our Prime Minister (that is what we call our head honcho in Canada)or the latest political buzz, not on this here blog. But part of 4Real...? is my shock and bewilderment at what this world and the people in it, are deciding to do with their lives, day in and day out, to each other.

Today I had to stop and blog about the fact that a former president of Cyprus, had his body stolen from the grave...for ransom.

I just have to type it out... WHAT THE FUCK?!

President Tassos Papadopoulos died in of small cell lung carcinoma (lung cancer) in December of 2008. In December of 2009 his body went missing...

Authorities ruled out political motivations for the disappearance of the body and sought world wide assistance during their investigation. It turns out that three men
decided to steal the presidents corpse for money. Police were tipped off by an anonymous phone call and found the body buried in a nearby cemetery in a shallow grave.

Yahoo News Reports:

Police were led to the macabre discovery after the Indian suspect, who authorities say has confessed involvement, made contact with Papadopoulos's family this week.

"The suspect said he felt remorse, so decided to ask for money to reveal where the body was hidden and leave Cyprus," said Yiannakis Charalambous, a superintendent with Cyprus police.

The Indian was paid 200 euros with the promise of more which was not forthcoming, Charalambous told the court.

Crazy shit...200 Euros??? Wouldn't he make more at a real job?

What I also thought was crazy...This Yahoo News article written in 2010 refers to a suspect as "The Indian".

Still waters run deep. The Media, News agencies, Television and Radio are "trusted" sources of information. Our societal norms have dictated we should believe these sources as they are ethical and true. What was interesting, was the way the writer referred to the suspect, while it is a fact, yes he is Indian, it's interesting it would be highlighted in the article, as if to unconsciously suggest it was a contributing factor to this crime.

For the record three men were involved. The man believed to mastermind the body heist is already in prison for other crimes. The two men involved in the actual stealing of the body were of Indian and Cypriot nationality.
And both men, have yet to be charged.
