Is it me or is Tyra Banks ...

Is it me or is Tyra Banks a walking blow up doll??? Ok that was a bit harsh ( not really) but I can imagine how it sounds to new comers so...I am going to say "Oppsy" for the sake of being nice and as not to sound like a bitch but seriously though...Have you noticed how ..."Airy" she is?

I love successful black women but I find Tyra, other than her physical look, embarrassing. Admittedly I have watched the Tyra show a few times and it is literally televised feces . Ask me what's worse the Tyra show or Jersey Shore and I would seriously have to debate that for a while.

I flipped channels tonight happening by the a talk show that had about 6 "guests" sitting on a very cheap, tacky and poorly designed stage. Of course Tyra Banks was the host. I wasn't sure what the entire show was about but I did notice each "guest" wore a sign. I nearly choked on my drink when I saw a heavy set guy, talking about being overweight as he wore a sign that said "Elephant".

Why on earth would this be worth televising? Who would "host" a show like this? But of course there she was, glowing with pride as she tried to find the deeper issues behind the dehumanizing signs each guest wore. The show was actually titled "‘Tyra Show’ Social Experiment: Circus of Weight"

Classy huh?

Take a look at how the Tyra show pitches this show on her website:
It's another groundbreaking "Tyra Show" social experiment! A cast of characters of all shapes and sizes participate in our "Circus of Weight." When the members of the 'Ville are instructed to decide "jobs" for each other, will their decisions be based on weight? Who will be banished from the circus... and who will serve as the ringleader?

Yea I really wonder how this will turn out...

So Tyra invited people off the street to partake in her "ground breaking" experiment where she provided signs and asked the group to vote based on looks, who would wear which sign. And of course! The experiment was called Weightville because that sounds like an intelligent name for an important discussion about discrimination based on weight...(riiiight).

As the heavy set gentlemen spoke to Tyra about being overweight...While he wore the 'Elephant' sign I thought...Really? This is ground breaking? Because it looks like we have found yet another way to make fun of the fat guy.I watched as Tyra asked him about his experiences all the while ignoring the derogatory sign she and her staff had asked him to wear on television. Although she starts the segment off by saying she of course did not approve of the Elephant sign, she still allowed it because the show already filmed footage of her "experiment" and it was ready to air.

This is an "idea" that would come from a blow up doll or a woman who has semen for brains.

Many of the discussions Tyra has had on her "show" perpetuate the very societal "wrongs" she feigns to care about exposing. Tyra come on! Pretend this is Christian Dior and focus! This was wrong on so many levels or in Tyra terms the purse didn't match the dress. Stick to what you know Tyra...

Is she for real?
