Prom Dress vs. Paddling...

Source: Cnn.com

I saw the headline " Teen Suspended for Prom dress" posted on Cnn.com.Naturally I was intrigued. According to Cnn.com the Prom Dress Code was violated by some students who wore dresses or outfits deemed "inappropriate." while the chiffon looking green mess this student wore has little fabric it really wasn't all that scandalous. The principle stated 18 students violated the dress code and only one opted for the punishment of suspension rather than the alternative...Which is paddling...

Who paddles teenagers in this day and age? Not to mention what parents would allow a stranger to ask their child or teen to drop their pants and take a beating? And what amazes me more is the fact out of 18 students who were found to be inappropriately dressed only ONE opted not to be paddled?

The South United States is a hot mess. Sorry to say it but it is. And how can anyone who thinks paddling a young ADULT over a"clothing violation" be considered of sound mind to judge what is "appropriate" or not?
