I been seeing more and more videos of kids "dancing" being posted to the internet. I have nothing against ring around the rosie but a child dropping it like its hot on YouTube is not cute. I don't understand why it is hard for parents to differentiate talent from objectification in an inappropriate way. Before you say I am uptight...
I wanted to cry for this kid. Her parents obviously don't value her potential as a human being. Does anyone set out to raise a stripper? And what can you possibly say to defend this? I wish they had enrolled her in some real dance classes and maybe advised her that what she sees on TV, while it may glitter it is not gold. Rolling around on the ground is NOT an aspiration. It is not something to be proud of.
